High school teachers are required to attend this workshop for one of their sessions. This workshop will focus around how staff can be equipped to appropriately handle student disclosures in a trauma-informed way to support the student, as well as in a way that is in compliance with Clarence School District expectations. We will go over the Bystander Intervention curriculum we will be teaching in all the health classes in December, so the staff is aware of the messaging students will be receiving. This will include a description of sexual and dating violence, and red flags to look for among the student population. We will talk about how we will be continuing to collaborate with Clarence to further your healthy school environment atmosphere. We will encourage questions and participation so that staff can help be a part of the planning as we continue to partner with Clarence.
